When I first moved into my studio in West Chester, Pa, my intentions were to create a beautiful space to photograph boudoir. As I painted and carefully selected objects from thrift and antique stores.. and maybe a few things from Wayfair! I slowly started to realize this space could be used for more than just boudoir photography. The natural light illuminating the space could be a perfect backdrop for many types of photography.

At first, I hesitated to stretch beyond boudoir. I had done a few holiday sessions for families, but I kept them small… three or four people, always clustered around the green velvet couch. My biggest concern with larger families was space. Would it feel cramped? Would the photos suffer as a result?

Eventually, I decided to take a chance and book a session with a family of six. This slightly blended family included two little ones, including a baby and two teenage boys (thankfully not built like linebackers!). To my pleasant surprise, the studio was not only functional for a group that size, but the results were absolutely beautiful. The space didn't feel crowded at all, in fact, it felt just right.

What made the session truly special though, was the family itself. Their love for each other was undeniable. Watching the older brothers care so gently for their little sisters and without being asked, was heartwarming. Their connection made photographing them not just easy, but a complete joy.

Have you ever considered booking an in home session but then looked around your house and realized it’s just not ideal? Maybe you just don’t have a lot of window light or you’re too busy to declutter your home. Booking a session in my natural light studio might be the perfect alternative!

It’s clean, cozy, thoughtfully styled, and ready to go; no prep work on your end. And there’s a bonus: my studio is located right in the heart of West Chester Borough. If time allows we can walk around and snap a few extra moments. You might want an ice cream cone or candy at Kilwins, browse the shelves at Second Reading Bookstore, or simply wander the charming streets around town.

Whether you're looking for an indoor family session or just want a beautiful, hassle-free space to capture meaningful moments, my studio might be just what you're looking for.
